There are a great many religions in the world, many followers of the other holy books on this site, and many believers in their own holy books. Included in the group of other books are the holy books of Anglicans, Buddhists, Lutherans, Methodists, Scientologists, Shintoists, and Unitarians. Dogmatic and defined religion squelches the spirit of humanity.

We may desire a world where we all act good and true,
but religion is a device to bring power to the few.

It is used to limit our expression, and squash our free thoughts.

If we were more open minded we might focus on the plagues of our day that truly harm humanity. Poverty, hunger, injustice, slavery, genocide, repressive regimes, etc.

So long as religion divides us into factions we will fight one another, oblivious to the heaven on earth which lies only a few decades away.

By flushing the ancient books which were aimed to manipulate and control humanity, we are hoping to remove their supernatural appeal. These are only books, written by men, and once we can discuss their contents without fear of sacrilege we may achive higher truth, and a more respectful society.
